# Announcement/Countdown

When the customer starts add the product to cart, the feature will show a countdown timer. This will create urgency of checking out with the items in cart, hence decreasing the abandon check out rate.

## How to set it up?

Navigate to Opus Cart Drawer, Cart Upsell, click on Cart Drawer section, Announcement tab. On this tab, there are 2 main sections, Announcement Settings (where you can change the mechanism) and Announcement Design. First, on the Announcement Settings, fill in the Hour and Minutes of the Countdown, the maximum hours is 24 hours, any numbers larger than that will be lower down to 24 hours. The Countdown will show the time since the first time the product got added to cart. After that, selecting the effect of the Countdown, this could be

* Repeat the Countdown: Re-count from the beginning
* Hide the Countdown: The Announcement will be inactivated after this period of time
* Delete Items: Items will be removed after the countdown end

Then, settings the text of the Announcement. This text will show as the main content of Announcement bar

Second, on the Announcement Design, you can choose the Color that you want to show on the background, the color of the main text and title text. Additionally, the text font and size are customization as well. The specialty of this Design section is that you can use Gradient Color to match your design.
